Overview

The Project Coordinator position supports Project Management by coordinating, scheduling, monitoring, improving cost control and assist with completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Coordinates on-site people power for specific project
  • Ensures adequate people power for project; if more power is required, communicates with Project Manager
  • Helps manages all aspects of assigned project including but not limited to people power resources, purchasing, rental management, subcontractor management, cost control, health and safety and contract administration
  • Ensures all required documentation, electronic and/or paper based, is completed correctly and submitted to the office in a timely fashion (i.e. contracts, timecards, service orders, etc.)
  • Participate in site visits/meetings relevant to current project, upcoming project or potential project opportunities
  • Assists with progressive discipline of people power, if required
  • Provides advice to Management regarding any number of areas (i.e. project timelines, cost control, people power, project opportunities, setbacks, etc)
  • Assists with sales and builds customer relationships
  • Always maintains a professional image
  •  Assists in the estimating process as required and approved by Project Manager
  •  Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget

Work Conditions

  • Office work (sitting at desk/working on computer for long periods of time)
  • Field work (outdoors, dusty/dirty environments)
  • Driving (sitting for extended periods, maintaining focus and alertness while operating vehicle)
  • At times it may be necessary for the Project Lead Coordinator to work outside of the regular workday in order to complete their duties.
  • Schedule work 2 weeks in and 2 weeks out

Required Knowledge & Awareness of Following Tasks

  • Knowledge of assigned industry
  • Minimum one year experience in aspects of Project Coordination
  • Working knowledge of company software (i.e. Jonas, eMobile, Digio, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft products (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, Project (an asset), Visio, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Construction, HVAC and/or commercial sector
  • Recognizes safety as a top priority of the organization
  • Delivers professional customer service
  • Adopts a teamwork approach and willingly supports coworkers

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • College diploma in Mechanical, Civil Technology
